Indianapolis State House

Your friends & family will surely be impressed by this reproduction of a fine, hand-tinted picture of the Indianapolis State House, complete with classic dome impaled by martian space-craft. Available in 11 x 17 inch  or 8 x 10 inch sizes!

Comes with this description: One of the finest examples of Neo-Classical architecture in Indiana, construction on the Indianapolis State House began in 1880 and concluded in 1888, although the State Legislature began meeting in the still unfinished building as early as 1887. The crowning feature of the building is its Italian-inspired dome, seen here in 1904 after a brush with a low-flying Martian space-craft. Incidents like these led Indiana to pursue illegal alien legislation in the early part of the 20th century, much like many other states had already done.
