ZombieWood, open from 1905-1909, tried to capitalize on the name recognition of Kennywood while offering Living-Dead-Themed contests, and attractions. Such rides as “Run for Your Life” and contests like “Head Shot” were briefly popular until 1909 when the park was forced to close due to the poorly received (and ill-advised) Zombie Petting Zoo."
