The Riverbed Beast of San Xaiver
The Riverbed Beast of San Xaiver
$20.00
A lovely 11 x 17 inch print on 100lb uncoated stock.
This digital print comes with this description: Located on the outskirts of Tucson, Arizona in the Tohono O’Odham reservation, San Xavier del Bac remains a jewel of the Southwest. With its founding in 1692 by padre Kino, the mission’s history predates the forming of the American Union and remains the oldest standing European structure in Arizona. To this day the second belltower remains unfinished as a tribute to Siuuhu, the avenging Riverbed Beast. After the Santa Cruz river ran dry, an enraged Siuuhu took revenge on the Mission, destroying the second tower and foiling any attempt to rebuild.
