Comes with this description: This handsome print depicts the busy harbor of Detroit, Michigan as well as the industrial complex that was already on the rise in the bustling city. The date of this beautifully tinted map is something of a mystery, as there is no record of when it was created. However, judging from the placement of the buildings, the establishment of the Campus Martius, and the rare appearance of The Ann Arbor Monster, we can date this print’s creation to sometime in 1889.
