The Hudson Valley Behemoth

Whether it's Beacon, West Point, Tarrytown or beyond, you'll love this monstrous Hudson Valley 11 x 17 inch print!

Comes with this description:
What a fine day it looks to be in this engraving from 1843, gazing south down the Hudson River Valley. In the foreground a gentleman in a top hat seems to be gesturing towards West Point, the United States Military Academy. Or perhaps his is pointing out “Hildy,” the local name for the Hudson River Behemoth. Hildy was a generally genial presence in the river, save for the occasional overturning of a boat of livestock or tourists.
