For when you love two things: your person, and Pittsburgh.
This card is part of the Historic Pittsburgh series, a cheeky look at historic images from our city. These images are all from the Library of Congress Detroit Publishing collection. Designed & printed in Pittsburgh, PA. Card measures 5.4 x 4.25 inches (A2) folded, and comes with an envelope. All cards are blank inside.
Comes with this description on the back:
The Point (1914) Taken from the top of Mt. Washington, this photo shows how much the Point has changed since the early 20th century. Here you can see the Point Suspension Bridge across the Monongahela and the Manchester Bridge across the Allegheny under construction. Just past the Manchester bridge you can see the Greater Pittsburgh Exhibition grounds and rollercoaster, all of which would be gone when Point State Park opened in 1974.
