Lucy Furnace (1900)
The Lucy Furnace refers to a pair of furnaces built by Carnegie Steel in what is now the Upper Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. During their heyday, the twin furnaces produced record-setting amounts of pig iron for the Edgar Thompson Steel Works in Braddock, PA.
