Horror with:
- VHS tapes and vinyl soundtrack albums for sale from local collector J. Malls (Flipping Records and Tapes)
- Vintage FANGORIA magazines from the 1980s on sale for $5 each, all benefitting PAAR (Pittsburgh Action Against Rape)
- Vintage horror ads, posters and reproductions decorating the inside and outside of the store
- 1980s robots and other toys on display
- A new horror t-shirt design
- VHS-themed greeting cards
- Free Halloween candy
In addition, there are three separate events happening over the course of the Alternate Histories Video transformation in October at 517 Greenfield Ave:
Grand Opening, Saturday, October 5, 12-5pm
The grand opening includes free popcorn for everyone and a pop-up with local vendor Mysterious and Ooky (Krista ’Donnell), who sells handmade horror & retro themed accessories, stickers and more. Plus first dibs on the VHS tapes and FANGORIA magazines.

Plan 9 From Outer Space Screening, Thursday, October 10, 7:30pm
A free screening of Edward D. Wood Jr’s PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE in the studio, to commemorate what would have been Wood’s 100th birthday. Free popcorn for kids, free beers for adults with ID, and special Ed Wood merchandise on sale.

Closing Party with DJ J. Malls, Saturday October 26, 2-5pm
J. Malls of Flipping Records and tapes, who has been providing all the VHS tapes and vinyl soundtracks for the pop-up, will be DJing Halloween records from 2-5pm for the closing day of the pop-up.

All events are the pop-up are free to attend and family-friendly. Accessible bathrooms are available inside the Alternate Histories Studio. Well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome to attend. Free street parking is available, and is accessible via the 58 bus.
