Once Again, Counterfeit Calendars are Back

Welp, counterfeit copies of my calendars are back. Since the National Park Monsters calendar was first published for 2022 I've had a group of people in China stealing my artwork and selling it online, pretending to be me. Sometimes if you buy it you'll get a really shitty copy of my calendar with missing artwork, wrong dates, no writing or anything. Or sometimes you'll just get ripped off and get nothing.

The key thing is that the scam artists promote their fake e-commerce websites on Facebook and Instagram. And to make a very long story short, Facebook is not interested in actually policing this and the laws are in place to protect them. They don't care if I lose money or you get tricked into buying a counterfeit calendar. They just know that they make ad revenue.

All of the fake e-commerce websites where my calendar is for sale look like this. They have weird names like GiftSur and Voguelagant. They have typos and misspellings. It's not like if you buy my calendar from my website or a real small business, where you can see the location of the business and know who you're buying it from.

I don't know why this is happening, and I feel awful for the folks who are scammed into buying a copy of my calendar. If you see my calendar advertised, and it's not from my account, it's probably a fake, but feel free to message or email me and ask! I am spending a lot of my time trying to take down these ads, and I wish Facebook/Instagram cared.

So if you see my calendar advertised anywhere other than my website, take a second and check it out before you buy! Or ask me for advice - I'd love to help. Thank you, and I'm sorry.
