The Monongahela River (1908)
A great view of the bustling riverfront area along the Monongahela river in 1908, where freight could easily be moved by barges and railway. In the bottom right is the Wabash Railroad Bridge across the river, completed in 1904 for the Wabash Railroad. Today the massive stone piers for the railroad are still standing.
